Our Attorneys: Committed to the Community

At Huggins Peil we believe that being a great attorney goes beyond the courtroom—it means being an engaged and active member of our community.

Supporting Local Causes

Beyond the law, our firm is deeply involved in supporting charitable organizations, sponsoring community events, and contributing to local causes. Whether it’s participating in fundraising efforts, mentoring students, or serving on nonprofit boards, our attorneys are dedicated to strengthening the communities we serve.

Engaging with the Next Generation

We believe in investing in the future by mentoring young professionals, and offering internships. By sharing our knowledge and experiences, we hope to inspire and guide the next generation of legal professionals and community leaders.

A Commitment to Service

Our firm’s dedication to community engagement is a reflection of our core values—integrity, service, and justice. We are proud to stand alongside our neighbors, making a meaningful difference both inside and outside the courtroom.

Family man. Community supporter. Charles Huggins Jr. is known as the “go-to” person when a need in the community is identified.

Community involvement is as much part of his daily life as is his practice of law. Huggins (though he insists on just being called Charles) is a lifetime member, Vestry, Sunday school teacher, usher and verger of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. He is a member (since 1994) of the Richmond County Exchange Club, board member and volunteer for Child Enrichment, Inc. (a shelter for abused children), board member and volunteer for The Hale Foundation and fund development volunteer for the Episcopal Day School.

And in his free time (if there is such a thing), he plays guitar and provides backup vocals for the professional band, The Toasters. The band is well known around Augusta and has entertained at countless benefits including Art of Chocolate and Cooking for Kids and the Heart Fund Ball.
